Getting Started
5 answersHow do I get a storage container quote?
Call the yard or send the quote form with your size, ZIP code, and what you are storing. You get a real price and a real delivery date back by the next business day, not a range and not a callback to "discuss options."
How fast can you deliver a storage container?
Most deliveries in the Rogue Valley and the Flathead Valley go out within three business days. Call the yard and we will give you a firm date, not a window.
Do I need to know my size before I call?
No. Tell us what you are storing and how much of it, and we will tell you which container fits. Most homeowners land on a 20 foot, most contractors on a 20 or 40 foot.
Can I see a container before I commit?
Yes. Both yards are open Monday through Thursday 7:30 to 4:00 and Friday 7:30 to 3:00. Walk in, open the doors, and look at the actual unit you would get.
Do you require a deposit?
Rent to own starts with the first month and delivery. Leases start with the first month. Purchases are paid on delivery. No hidden setup fees on any of the three.
Delivery & Placement
6 answersWhat does my site need to be ready for delivery?
Fairly level and hard packed, with room for the truck to back in. We place containers in tight spots regularly, so send a photo of the spot if you are unsure and we will tell you straight whether it works.
How much room do you need to deliver a container?
As a rule of thumb, plan on roughly twice the container length in straight clearance plus about 14 feet of width and overhead clear of branches and lines. A 20 foot container wants about 60 feet of approach.
Can you place a container on gravel, dirt, or grass?
Yes, as long as the ground is firm and reasonably level. Soft ground after heavy rain is the usual problem, we may recommend gravel or blocking, or waiting a day or two.
Do you level the container when you place it?
Yes. We set it level and square so the doors swing and latch properly. A container that is not level is a container whose doors fight you every time.
Can I move the container after it is delivered?
Do not move it yourself, you risk racking the frame and ruining the door seal. Call the yard and we will reposition it for a repositioning fee.
Do you deliver outside Medford and Kalispell?
Yes. We run our own trucks across Southern Oregon, Northern California, and the Flathead Valley. If your town is not listed on our service areas page, call and ask. We probably still get there.
Sizes & Specs
6 answersWhat container sizes do you carry?
We stock 10, 20, and 40 foot standard containers, plus 20 and 40 foot high cubes. High cubes add about a foot of interior height, which matters for pallets, appliances, and tall equipment.
How much fits in a 20 foot container?
A 20 foot container is roughly 160 square feet and holds about the contents of a two to three bedroom house, or roughly 10 standard pallets. Most residential moves and job sites land here.
How much fits in a 40 foot container?
A 40 foot container is roughly 320 square feet and holds about the contents of a four to five bedroom house, or roughly 20 standard pallets. It is the standard choice for larger contractors and long-term inventory.
What is the difference between standard and high cube?
Both are the same length and width. A high cube is about one foot taller inside, roughly 8 feet 10 inches versus 7 feet 10 inches. Choose high cube if you are stacking pallets or storing anything tall.
How wide are the doors?
Standard container doors are about 7 feet 8 inches wide and open the full height of the container end. If you need wider or side access, we build roll-up and side doors in house.
Are the containers weathertight?
Yes. Every container we deliver is wind and watertight, with sound seals and a solid floor. If a unit does not meet that standard, it does not leave the yard.
Rent to Own & Buying
6 answersDo you run a credit check for rent to own?
No credit check. Approval is quick, the paperwork is minimal, and the container is yours outright once it is paid off.
How does rent to own work?
You pay a flat monthly rate, use the container from day one, and own it once it is paid off. There is no term to choose and no penalty for paying it off early.
Can I pay off a rent to own container early?
Yes. Call the yard for the current payoff amount. There is no penalty for paying it off ahead of schedule.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Call us before it happens. We are a local business and we would rather work out timing with you than start a collections process.
Should I buy or rent to own?
Buy if you have the cash and know you want it permanently, it is the cheapest total cost. Rent to own if you want ownership without the upfront hit. Lease if the need has an end date.
Do you sell new and used containers?
Both. One-trip containers are nearly new and look it. Used cargo-worthy containers cost less and carry honest wear. We will tell you which makes sense for what you are doing.
Leasing & Billing
5 answersWhat are your lease terms?
Month to month or long term, whichever fits the job. Month to month suits construction and seasonal overflow. Long term brings the monthly rate down.
Is delivery included in the price?
Delivery is quoted together with the container so you see one number, not a surprise line item. Rent to own includes delivery on day one.
How do I end a lease?
Give us notice and we will schedule pickup. Empty the container and leave the same access we had on delivery, and there is nothing else to do.
What forms of payment do you take?
Card, check, and ACH. Recurring monthly billing is available for leases and rent to own so you are not chasing invoices.
Are there fees I should know about?
The quote is the quote. The only extras that come up are repositioning after delivery, unusual site access requiring extra equipment, or delivery well outside our standard range, all quoted before we do the work.
Security & Condition
5 answersHow secure are your containers?
They are 14 gauge corten steel with lockable cargo doors. We install lock boxes that shield the padlock from bolt cutters, which stops the most common attempt outright.
Do you provide a lock?
We install a lock box on request and can supply a puck lock. Many customers bring their own, a puck lock inside a lock box is the setup we recommend.
Will my belongings stay dry?
Yes, in a wind and watertight container placed level. For long-term storage of anything moisture sensitive, ask us about vents, airflow prevents condensation in cold months.
What condition are the used containers in?
Cargo-worthy: structurally sound, wind and watertight, with surface rust and paint wear consistent with age. We do not sell containers with holes, soft floors, or failed seals.
Can I paint or modify a container I bought?
It is yours, paint it, shelve it, insulate it. If you would rather we do the work, our custom work shop handles doors, windows, vents, insulation, and electrical.
Custom Work
4 answersWhat modifications can you make?
Roll-up doors, personnel doors, windows, vents, shelving, insulation, electrical packages, partition walls, and custom paint. If you can describe it, we can usually build it.
Can you build a container office or shop?
Yes. Insulated walls, electrical, lighting, windows, and a personnel door turn a container into a usable office, shop, or equipment room that no one can walk off with.
How long does custom work take?
Simple work like a roll-up door or vents is usually a few days. Full builds with insulation and electrical run longer. We give a real timeline when we quote the work.
Do you modify containers I already own?
Yes. Bring it to the yard, or we can pick it up, do the work, and deliver it back.
Service Area & Permits
4 answersWhere do you deliver?
Southern Oregon and Northern California out of our Medford and Central Point yards, and the Flathead Valley out of Kalispell. That covers Medford, Grants Pass, Ashland, Central Point, Eagle Point, White City, Jacksonville, Rogue River, Phoenix, Klamath Falls, Yreka CA, Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and Bigfork.
Do I need a permit to put a container on my property?
It depends on your city or county and how long it stays. Many jurisdictions allow temporary storage containers on residential property without a permit; some require one for long-term placement. Check with your local planning department, we can tell you what other customers in your area have run into.
Are there HOA restrictions I should check?
If you are in an HOA, check the covenants before you order. Some prohibit visible containers, others allow them for a limited period during a project.
Do you deliver to job sites and commercial properties?
Constantly. Construction sites, farms, ranches, retail backlots, and municipal yards are a large share of what we do. We work around site rules and delivery windows.
What fits in what.
Every size we stock, side by side. Door openings run about 7 ft 8 in wide on all of them.
| Size | Footprint | Floor area | Interior height | Roughly holds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 ft standard | 10 × 8 ft | ~80 sq ft | 7 ft 10 in | Tools, seasonal gear, one room of furniture |
| 20 ft standard | 20 × 8 ft | ~160 sq ft | 7 ft 10 in | A two to three bedroom house, about 10 pallets |
| 20 ft high cube | 20 × 8 ft | ~160 sq ft | 8 ft 10 in | Same footprint, a foot more stacking height |
| 40 ft standard | 40 × 8 ft | ~320 sq ft | 7 ft 10 in | A four to five bedroom house, about 20 pallets |
| 40 ft high cube | 40 × 8 ft | ~320 sq ft | 8 ft 10 in | Four to five bedrooms plus tall equipment |
